IBM buys Red Hat, Red Hat suddenly ships the RHEL 8 Beta

The sequence of events:

1. On 28 October 2018 IBM and Red Hat signed the agreement to merge. Proof.
2. On 15 November 2018 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 Beta "suddenly" comes out. Proof.

In my opinion, point 2 is Red Hat trying to get done whatever it still can before the new rules of the game arrive. In that light, I am very curious about what becomes of OpenShift, Ansible and JBoss Middleware.
